    With the addon version of the game you are able to play the primary/main DS2 map and also the Broken World map.
    When browsing through forums it seems this gets forgotten sometimes.  <<

     
    Acolyte (Spell)   Akolyth, Acolyte, Accolito, Acólito
    Advanced Rending Aura to split exp on melee and combat magic ('scientiae comminutis et peremptalis in aequilibrium'). Enemies may ignite when attacking a party member that is enhanced by this spell.
    Skill points on Enveloping Embrace, Feral Wrath and Debilitation partially improve the spell bonuses, in the addon/v2.3 also skills affecting weapon enchantment spells.  <<

     
    All*Saves
    This is a little tool made by Elys to start DS2 with in order list your save game although mods have changed. There are different verions of All*Saves, for DS2 v2.2 or v2.3 as well.  <<

     
    Aranna Legacy Mod
    Mod to provide game fixes and upgrades for DS2 with addon/v2.3. Although many things have been taken over from the Hotfix mod a new name seemed to be appropriate since the Aranna Legacy mod provides much more than just some game fixes.  <<

     
    Arrow Bane (Spell)   Pfeilfluch, Malédiction de la flèche, Freccia flagellante, Ruina de Flechas
    Advanced Rending Aura that splits exp on ranged and nature magic ('scientiae eminutis et natura in aequilibrium') and that enables multi-shots. The number of projectiles depends on the sum of skill points at Enveloping Embrace and Feral Wrath - you will get one extra projectile per two skill points.
    Skill points on Enveloping Embrace and on Feral Wrath partially improve the spell bonuses, in the addon/v2.3 also skills affecting weapon enchantment spells.  <<

    Buff Spell (spell type)
    Any spell that enhances the abilities of combatants by boosting them with magical bonuses, in DS2 namely provided by embrace spells or wrath spells that are usually casted by nature mages.
    Rending Auras and weapon enchantment spells are a special variant of buff spells, boosting the caster himself only and affecting the way how he earns exp.  <<

     
    Castle Portal At Windstone Fortress
    Soon after you have reached Snowbrook Castle the first time the Windstone Portal at Snowbrook Castle and Castle Portal at Windstone Fortress will be activated as direct connection between these two locations.  <<

     
    Collateral Damage
    Since newly a few spells can be casted on ground too your gold eventually may be discounted if you harm loyal NPCs by carelessness.  <<

    Curse Spell (spell type)
    Combat Mages can learn spells that weaken the abilities of enemies. For the player party skill points on Debilitation may improve the effect of the curse.  <<

    Dragoon (Spell)   Dragoner, Dragon, Dragone, Dragón
    Rending Aura to split exp on melee and combat magic ('scientiae comminutis et peremptalis in aequilibrium'). The bonuses of this spell will give helpful battle-abilities. You will be better in dodging attacks, also enemies become stunned for a short period of time.

    Drovan (NPC)
    Additional NPC to hire, living next to the lake in the North of Aman'lu. He looks similar to Drevin and it's said they would be step-brothers...  <<

    Dual-Classed
    A multi-classed hero is called like this because he is practising two classes at the same time, for example if he masters combat magic (almost) as good as melee.  <<

     
    Dwarven Mythril Ring (Item)   Zwergen-Mythrilring, Anneau en mythril de nain, Anello di mythril dei Nani, Anillo de Mythril de los Enanos
    The Dwarven mythril Ring of Sight is the first legendary-enchantable ring you may get in the Hotfix mod or in the Aranna Legacy mod. If not enchantable new mod users should drop the ring momentarily out of the inventory and pick it up again, this will repair it.  <<

     
    Embrace Spell (spell type)
    This is a type of buff spell that generally have defensive bonuses and profit from skill points on Enveloping Embrace.  <<

     
    Enchantable Shop
    Downhill the small Fortress in the Azunite Desert you will find a merchant only selling stuff useful for enchanting items. It's said he has a good nose who comes along and always confects his offer appropriately.  <<

    Erasira (NPC)
    Will reset skill points by releasing already invested skill points form a skill of your choice. Erasira works very thorough and is even able to release char-class specific skill points. On the primary/main DS2 map Erasira is located in a backroom of the Inn at Eirulan, on the Broken World map she is in the Dryad outpost.  <<

     
    Exp
    Abbreviation for experience. In few words, it's passed combat time that will raise the level of the fighting actor.
    Usually you have to fight against real monsters to get exp, however there are two exceptions related on party members.
    Just for gameplay-convenience party members always join your party with a (automatically boosted) level close to the level of your main-hero, there is probably still a small difference that will disappear while playing though but if you can't wait then Party Member Training Areas may help you.  <<

     
    Feral Wrath (Skill)   Blutrünstiger Zorn, Furie sauvage, Furore selvaggio, Ira Salvaje
    Will enhance the effect of buff spells when carrying offensive bonuses, also Rending Auras profit form that skill.  <<

     
    Ghost Summon (Spell)   Beschworener Geist, Esprit convoqué, Fantasma evocato, Aparición invocada
    Special summoning spell for dual-classed mages. At its demise a summoned ghost will try to obsess the killer to make him guard the mage instead. Ghost Summons also have the ability to translate between you and other ghosts you encounter on the map.  <<

     
    Golden Chalice (Item)   Goldener Kelch, Calice doré, Calice d'oro, Cáliz de Oro
    This is a mysterious item nobody really knows what GPG intended to do with it.
    In the Hotfix mod or the Aranna Legacy mod this item served for some time as additional reagent, meanwhile this chalice is able to turn temporarily a health/mana shrine into an incantation shrine.  <<

     
    Hak'u Blade (Item)   Hak'u-Dolch, Lame Hak'u, Spada Hak'u, Daga Hak'u
    This quest item has been revised partially. So if it should have strange stats then drop it momentarily out of the inventory and pick it up again, this will repair it.  <<

     
    Harpy Summon (Spell)   Beschworene Harpyie, Harpie convoquée, Arpia evocata, Arpía invocada
    Special summoning spell for dual-classed mages. Depending on the spell level I-IV summoned harpies are versatilely armed and occasionally perform rapid attacks. Also they are smart enough to open a class-specific sanctuary doors when fluttering some time in front of one.  <<

     
    Hotfix Mod
    Mod that originally contained just a few hotfixes while waiting for patch v2.3. Since this patch never had been released by GPG the Hotfix mod has been expanded by further fixes and extra features as well. Not to overburden the term 'Hotfix mod' the Hotfix mod for the addon/v2.3 is called Aranna Legacy mod.  <<

     
    Ignite (Skill)   Entzünden, Embrasement, Combustione, Ignición
    Will increase the probability and effect when enemies spontaneously catch fire.  <<

     
    Ini Options
    The Hotfix mod or the Aranna Legacy mod allow additional start settings for individual configuration. These settings could be appended onto the command line of your game shortcut, however it's probably some easier to add them into the DungeonSiege2.ini resp. DungeonSiege2BrokenWorld.ini file.  <<

     
    Kiernan (NPC)
    Archer to hire in the Snowbrook castle. He will offer to join you if you bring him something to raise his hope and motivation.  <<

     
    Lirrit (NPC)
    Guard at the Mana and Health Bushes downstairs the Northern Gate of Eirulan (there is also an incantation shrine some steps ahead). Newly Lirrit will offer you pets too - not many but it's said they are well fed...  <<

     
    Magician (Spell)   Magier, Magicien, Mago, Mago
    Basic Rending Aura to split exp on combat and nature magic ('sapientiae magicae in aequilibrium'). Only mages with combat and nature magic in balance are able to master the Harpy Summon or the Ghost Summon.  <<

     
    Mug ('Quiver Potion')   Becher, Tasse, Tazza, Taza
    A mug is a utility item to change the texture of a quiver, by consuming/drinking it you may have some influence on quivers and how they look like.  <<

     
    Multi-Classed
    A party member is called like this who has practised regularly more than one class.
    In the Hotfix and Aranna Legacy Mod you are considered to be multi-classed when your best class consumed less than 75% of all exp gained so far, resp. if 25% of the exp flew in other classes than your best one (the stats will show you these percentages).
    Usually the versatility of such a char can't completely compensate the lack of a clear specialization, however being dual-classed may be a valuable and interesting alternative in particular if supported by weapon enchantment spells or Rending Auras.  <<

     
    Multi-Arrow
    Multiple arrows are possible when using the multi-shot feature with archers.  <<

     
    Multi-Shot
    Launching multiple projectiles at the same time. In most cases the multi-shot feature is only available by the Arrow Bane spell that actually works for thrown weapons too.  <<

     
    Party Member Training Area
    This are spiritual places where a party member can sacrifice items to get exp while fighting. Just let drop obsolete items into the circle on the ground, choose a party member and attack the strawman of the desired weapon-class. This will attract Xeria's attention and she will bless the member with exp in exchange for the items.
    Like this a retarded party member easily may get additional exp in particular if there is a large level-difference between party member and main-hero.
    On the primary/main DS2 map such a levelling area will be established in the Snowbrook castle center soon after you have reached it the first time, easiest way to travel there is with the Castle Portal at Windstone Fortress.
    Other party member levelling opportunities can be found around Aman'lu on the Broken World map.  <<

     
    Primary/main DS2 Map
    This just means the official map made by GPG released with DS2 in 2005. For example the tutorial beach where you start with level 0 is part of this map.  <<

     
    Quiver
    As soon as a ranged weapon is equipped a quiver will be attached on your char's back. Such a quiver has no impact on your char's stats, it is just some kind of decoration to make your ranged chars appear a bit more ranged-like. The pattern of the quiver is usually random, however using a mug (~potion) may help you to change the quiver look.  <<

     
    Rending Aura (spell type)   Spaltende Aura, Aura déchirante, Aura lacerante, Aura desgarradora
    In the Hotfix mod or the Aranna Legacy mod some of the custom buff spells are called like this.
    These Rending Auras are very similar to the weapon enhancement spells as introduced by GPG for the addon/v2.3 - in both cases exp will be split on two skill classes simultaneously to make you dual-classed.
    The more dual-classed you are, the higher the benefit (magical bonus or special feature) of such a spell will become, moreover associated skills may increase the profit once again.
    There are 3 types of custom Rending Auras, to split exp on melee and combat-magic ('Combatant', 'Dragoon', 'Acolyte', 'Wasting'), to split exp on ranged and nature-magic ('Dryad Sentinel', 'Stun', 'Repulse', 'Arrow Bane', 'Sharpshooter') and to split exp on combat and nature magic ('Magician').  <<

     
    Repulse (Spell)   Rückprall, Répulsion, Repulsione, Repulsión
    Advanced Rending Aura to split exp on ranged and nature magic ('scientiae eminutis et natura in aequilibrium'). Ranged projectiles get such fast that they knock back the target.

    Reset Skill Points   Fähigkeitspunkte zurücksetzen, Réinitialiser points de compétence, Reimpostare punti abilità, Resetear puntos de habilidad
    Erasira - or Vireni too with the addon/v2.3 - will allow to redefine your skill point allocation. With such a skill reset you won't lose any skill points, just some gold and blood.  <<

     
    Rune Of Might (Item)   Rune der Macht, Rune de puissance, Runa della potenza, Runa de poder
    This is a unique and very rare item to place into your char's inventory, and if you do so it will summon a free soldier to fight at your side. Although summoning related skill points have no influence on him, he accepts healing or buff spells, he grows/levels with you and also gathers exp for you. This soldier never dies or expires, however he is not invincible and can be knocked out for some time. In case you completely want to get rid of him, just sell the rune or put it into your storage vault.
    There is currently a special way to give him a wait command: Select the town portal spell and put the party orders on 'wait', and as soon you change your party orders or your weapon/spell selection he will join up again. This procedure may be useful if want to go reconnoiting yourself with a minimum of hostilities.  <<

     
    Sharpshooter (Spell)   Scharfschütze, Tireur d'élite, Cecchino, Tirador Selecto
    Advanced Rending Aura to split exp on ranged and nature magic ('scientiae eminutis et natura in aequilibrium') and to let you shoot much farer and more precise than usual.

    Xeria may give you sometimes an extra skill point if you are considered to be seriously dual-classed or generally multi-classed. This happens every 5th char level and starts usually between char level 7 and 8.  <<

    Advanced Rending Aura to split exp on ranged and nature magic ('scientiae eminutis et natura in aequilibrium'). Enemies hit by projectiles or spells get temporarily stunned.

    On top of towers you have a significantly better sight than downstairs - but this isn't really surprising...!?  <<

     
    Transmute (Spell)   Verwandeln, Transmutation, Trasmutazione, Transmutación
    In the Hotfix mod or the Aranna Legacy mod the Transmute spell slightly has been expanded to produce sometimes something else than gold.
    So far all transmutation recipes are requiring 4 ingredients. For example 3 mana potions plus a Mandrake Root (health reagent) will transmute into a health potion (size depending on the quality of ingredients and your nature magic level). In similar manner 3 rings plus a rejuvenation potion would transmute into an amulet.  <<

     
    Undead Azunite Archer (Monster)   Untoter Azunitenbogenschütze, Archer azunien mort-vivant, Arciere azunita non morto, Arquero Azunita No-Muerto
    Only has significance in the addon/v2.3 there he has a too high monster level if you encounter him on the primary/main DS2 map. But don't be afraid any longer, this bug is fixed by the Aranna Legacy mod.  <<

     
    Vireni (NPC)
    Captain of the Dryad archers who will reset skill points in the addon/v2.3. On the primary/main DS2 map she is located in the Western Greilyn Jungle, on the Broken World map she is at the Dryad Outpost. For a notable amount of gold Vireni will release all skill points at once - as if you never had allocated them before.  <<

     
    Wasting (Spell)   Auszehrung, Atrophie, Atrofia, Agotamiento
    Advanced Rending Aura to split exp on melee and combat magic ('scientiae comminutis et peremptalis in aequilibrium'). It's said it would be the most invidious spell of this kind seriously affecting opponents by leeching their blood until the force of shrinking makes them disrupt.

    Weapon Enchantment Spell (spell type)
    These spells are typical for the addon/v2.3 and magically improve the caster's weapon, granting it additional bonuses and splitting exp on two skill classes.
    The weapon enhancement spells for Blood Assassins split exp on Ranged and Combat Magic, for Fist-of-Stone fighters the exp is split on Melee and Nature Magic.  <<
